What unversioned npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web still installs today.

Run with Node.js

Install Node.js first. The command starts the Web UI at http://127.0.0.1:3080 and opens a browser on a local launch. Pass --no-open to skip the browser. An SSH launch only prints the host URL.

System requirements

RuntimeNode.js ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0. 0.1.2-rc.1 fixes startup and HMR on Node 24.0-24.11.1.
Operating systemsWindows 10 / 11 (ACL sandbox), macOS (Seatbelt), Linux (bwrap or Landlock)
Source buildCorepack-enabled pnpm, then install, typecheck, and build
BrowserModern browser for the Web UI. Older browsers miss AbortSignal.timeout.
Disk noteThe CLI tarball is small. npx still resolves the plugin graph at runtime.

Source, SHA, and signatures

Each npm version publishes a shasum and a registry signature (keyid SHA256:DhQ8wR5APBvFHLF/+Tc+AYvPOdTpcIDqOhxsBHRwC7U). Pin the exact version string. GitHub tags exist without always matching the npm dist-tag you just installed.

Lookalike packages appeared after launch. Matching the letters dsh is not provenance. Use the @deepseek-ai scope and the deepseek-ai/deepseek-harness tree. This site does not link out; paste those names into a client you already trust.

Antivirus false positives

There is no official Windows installer and no bundled antivirus product. Heuristic engines sometimes flag Node CLIs that spawn pwsh or bash. That is not proof of malware.

Confirm the shasum for the version you ran. If a scanner quarantines node.exe or a dsh temp folder, restore it and re-check the hash. More context is on the no-malware clarification and the antivirus guide.
